Ustaz Mohammed Noor is a graduate from Madrasah Al-Junied Al-Islamiah (1991-2003) in Singapore and the University of Al-Azhar, Faculty of Usuluddin, specializing in Creeds and Philosophy (2004-2008). He has served as the Executive of the Department of Islamic Thoughts, Masjid En-Naeem, Singapore (2009-2011).

 

From 2012-2015, he taught Islamic classes as an independent preacher. In 2014, he founded the “Wearwhite” movement in Singapore to call for the Singaporean Muslims to fight the cultural and political pressures from LGBT groups.

 

He has served as an assistant editor to Vizier, which is an Islamic magazine in Singapore published in Malay and English languages. He has given talks at various universities, such as the National University of Singapore and IIUM, in both Malay and English languages. He has also served as the Head of Dakwah Department at Nur Hijra Consultancy Services, Singapore from 2013-2017.

 

Today, Ustaz Mohammed Noor actively teaches Islamic Creeds, especially on facing the challenges posed by Western philosophy, in Johor Bahru, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur. He is also a Ruqyah and Islamic Psychotherapy practitioner since almost a decade, and is now offering these services through MIASA as its Vice President 2.

 

In an effort to fight usury (riba), he has written a book on the History and Laws of Fiat Currency from the Perspective of Traditional Fiqh. He is now an Exco member of the Movement for Monetary Justice.

 

He is married and is blessed with three children.
